serious question

With all the losses in front of us, if we continue to play at the extremely high level that we're playing at. Let's say Deshaun Watson goes 9-0 and we're sitting at 10-2 at seasons end, do we at least get in the conversation?

Losses behind us? And if FSU is undefeated...

never get 2 ACC teams in unless every SEC team has 3 losses each. The ESPN lobby dictates only SEC gets 2 (or 3) considered.

Not unless Swofford grows a set and says "well since the coastal sucks monkey nuts, we're going to let the only real teams we have play....." Nah, that's not going to happen.

Unfortunately, even if we win out, which can happen,

I don't think we're in the conversation. Especially given USuCk's troubles this year and the very likely chance that they'll have as many as 5 losses by the time they play us.

Maybe. Others in front of us need to lose and we obviously need to win out. We need GT to stay undefeated so we can have signature win (since beating a SCar team doesn't seem as impressive this year).

When beating GT is considered a more impressive win than beating you, it's safe to say you've hit rock bottom Scar.

No but we need to get a nice., juicy opponent for a bowl game and then demolish them. I had the NC State game at 52-10 and was off a wee bit. We will trash L'ville as they are not a physical match for our Tigers. We then go on and eventually get the Coots and will pummel them as a going away present for their piece of sh.. coach
Tigers 52- Lville 13 Tigers 54 Coots 14

end up with 2 losses - which looks increasingly likely - it could happen.
Even if not, given your proposed scenario, we'd be in the conversation. I see this as largely due to the QB change - it gives the appearance we're a different program since DW emerged after the two losses. Fair/unfair, true/untrue, it will give the talking heads something to talk about.
One of the questions the committee will have to face is whether they're to pick the teams with the best seasons, the four best teams at the end of the year, or something in between. How they answer this question in practice will be interesting. In basketball they can sorta do all of the above - not so with only four teams in football.

No, absolutely not. We will have no CC and lack SOS for that

We are doomed, doomed to face ND in the Orange Bowl and end the season with a win over another top ten team.
But don't worry, the beatdown of USuCk in the Valley on SR day will make the bitterness of another 11 win season bearable.
