On the entire season. Their starting RB has THREE touchdowns all year. Randall has almost twice as many yards and 8 TD and has been extremely underutilized.
We are beating them in almost every statistical category. Stop the nonsense. If they beat us it will be an upset. If we play a clean game we win by 10+.

They finally cleaned some things up against UL. If we play assignment football and keep Sellers in the pocket we will control the game.

Cade has been playing like a top QB in terms of decision making and efficiency. Yes, Riley makes some questionable play calls and we get way too conservative with a lead but offense has been clicking the past several games. Defense was putting them in horrible situations but the last two games appears to be gaining more confidence.

I also think that we will beat S.Carolina.
I also know that, even if CK2 plays his best, that by itself doesn’t equate to a win.
Our WRs must catch the ball. T.Smith’s yips jump out; even A.Randall dropped a catchable pass that a former WR should have snagged easily in game vs LOU.
Our DBs and LBs must not start blowing coverages multiple times per game. Assuming no blown coverages, we must cover the receivers well enough so that they don’t catch most of the passes … especially on 3rd down and 4th down situations.
Our DBs not named Barnes, Hanifin, Hampton, and Terrell must frequently actually execute a solo tackle.
Great wins indeed vs FSU & LOU. No qualifiers here; each win counts as a win; winn8ng is good.
We cannot expect to even beat an average team like S.Carolina if they must blow points via multiple missed FGs / PARs, or blow points by dropping easy passes, blow points by penalizing themselves out of easy scoring range, gift points to us via their penalties moving Clemson down the field in multiple 15 yard penalties.
We were extremely fortunate that both FSU and LOU were epic as far as disastrous mistakes.
### that said, I’m expecting us to play a clean game vs S.Carolina and that we won’t make blown coverages multiple times, untimely penalties on defense. On offense, we will catch the ball and not attempt fancy ball handling between the QB and whoever might be the RPO option. We won’t dredge out that horrible Jumbo package again.
We’ll win if we do things right and if CK2 plays up to how he played vs LOU.

In his defense (no pun intended), Barnes has not been blowing coverage and his tackling is better than Ricardo Jones, Corian Gipson, and Brandon Strozier.
R.Jones and Hanifin have both been coverage-busters, as have been Misun Kelly (rarely, though) and C.Gipson & B.Strozier.
Put it all together, and K.Barnes is our best safety and tied with Ashton Hampton as our second best DB (behind only Aveion Terrell).

My man… those ‘elite’ stats came against defenses ranked in the triple digits.
UNC, BC, FSU, all bottom-tier this year.
The second he faced anything resembling a real defense (SMU, Duke), he folded and we lost.
Don’t toss ‘top QB’ around when the only teams he cooks are the ones everybody cooks.

CK was out vs SMU. Vizzina had an awesome game 319 yards 3 TDS no intercepts 69% completion per centage.

The offense has been better, Cade has definitely been better, (still will only read one receiver at times and doesn't see the wide open ones) but the mistakes still happen besides that, whether it's fumbles or stupid situational play calls. Those are still mistakes and head scratching ones at that.
Defense still needs to improve more in the secondary for me to feel like this team entirely has completely turned it around.
We just have to get out of our own way and this team could really be decent.

I've watched a bunch of their games this season. Guy has been exposed all year and is simply not a very good QB.
If you let him run in open field and gain steam then obviously it will be tough.

Anything can happen with these games but a performance like the last two weeks will win it for us. Continue to take care of the ball and don't bust in coverage and Sellers will make some incredibly poor decisions throughout the course of the game.
Their offensive line is not good. Their defensive line is good. We will need our DL to play up to their potential.

I hope we are studying the tape, because plenty of teams have figured them out this year. I am still haunted by last year when our whole defense just missed tackle after tackle on Sellers like he was dipped in Teflon. We have most of those same guys lined up against him this year.

Sorry I dont trust Riley/Cade in big games....yes the coots will always be a big game.
Time and time again Cade freaks out in big moments. He is too late in his career to change now.
We were 1/13 on 3rd this week.
5 throws were short with 2 or 3 being behind the LOS.
The goalline call in 4th with it already being stopped was pathetic.
The D might be OK if they don't have many bust and Sellars doest break 436 tackles.

UNC was 2022. SMU was soft and played no one all season, we saw what happened when they finally played a real team in the playoff. Louisville hasn’t been a good team since Lamar left. I can’t remember our last quality non-conference win.

He loves to use stats and numbers as if all schedules are equal.
That’s the part he leaves out. Look at our schedule and then look at their schedule.
They have played one of the toughest schedules in the country and we certainly have not.
Had they played our schedule their record would be at minimum the same as ours and more than likely better.
Had we played their schedule… we’d have the same record if not worse than them.
Who you play matters. They will be ready when we go in there bc we are their Super Bowl for sure now that they aren’t going to a bowl game.
It will be nowhere close to an “upset” if they beat us… that’s just flat out delusional.
Anybody that thinks we’re going to walk in there and win easily or by more than 1 score is just stupid.
IF we win… it will be close. They could absolutely beat us by more than a score. I don’t think we can do that to them at the cockroach.

When sellers rolls out he is hard to stop if the lb's or db's come up to tackle him he just throws it over them to an open receiver. If they stay back in coverage it is an easy 5-10 yard run. He gets into trouble when he drops straight back. Not sure why they continue to do that. I thought that was why Shula got fired. I just hope they continue to drop him straight back against us.

Finally someone that knows football and actually watched some of their games. I agree with you. Not sure why they keep forcing the issue.
But going up against the dlines they have this year, their oline isn't as competitive as they should be. He's got better talent than they've displayed and hence the ol coach hit the door.
Beamer could probably get gimmicky and scored a few more but he's trying to build a competitive sec team. Even their fans don't understand that. They'd be crazy to run him off. But I would guess that's part of the reason he keeps dropping him back.

Have you watched us play? We can't stop the run at all. They don't need to complete a forward pass to beat us. They could tell us they were gonna run it every down and we still wouldn't be able to stop it. Both teams are absolute garbage, but I think their strength plays better into our weaknesses.

Sellers did throw a beautiful deep pass before his short pass to N.Harbor that (you never know with him) he actually caught. Of course, when N.H. got even with the aTm defenders, he outran them.
Sellers problem is his wildly inconsistent accuracy.

I get the stats, but I do believe that they would also beat UNC and BC badly. The schedule they had this year is brutal. If our Tigers played that schedule this season we would have 3/4 wins tops. If we cant run the ball against them, it will not shock me if they beat us. I mean we need 150yds plus rushing as a team for that game.

Their offense has been crap all year in total yards and points. Every game that they have scored 20+ in was due to Defense or ST scores. Just like the first half of the A&M game, SC strictly relies on gifts and handouts from the opposing team to do anything, it's like they have something on their jerseys to make opposing players go Simple Jack during games. I have confidence if we just play a clean game that we'll win. A&M showed their defense can be picked apart if you just catch the ball.

Stack the box and force Sellers to throw. That is how teams have been beating them this year. I feel pretty confident in Terrell and Hampton against their receivers.
