Hate it with him being senior to give up big hit to tie it and then had 2 outs in 9th and just couldn’t seal deal

Sure seems like it. I really don’t like him throwing to left handed batters. Would have loved to see McGovern pitch to the lefties, but guess he pitched too many innings yesterday.

He was never elite. All of his putches had a rise. Start at mid-shin and rose. Once teams figured this out it was over. Mslsted's era was like 4.0 or higher against P5 teams over .500. Look it up you will see that this is a fact.

I don’t know why he’s thought of as a closer. Totally baffling. I guess we’ve got what we got. Can anyone on the team even break 95 mph? Typically your closers are mostly power with a good second pitch. We’ve been lucky with him up till now. I don’t think he’s a bad guy or anything. I just don’t think he’s it as far as shutting down good hitting. I’m not sure we have anyone who is.

Garris with the heavy fastball and splitter would be a better option but he gave up a single, so we have to take him out so Malstedht can try to get the saves record. Poor bullpen management tonight. We may win one more but don’t have the arms beyond that
