Took a look at the SEC forums and they are saying they should invite nc state to get into an untapped market and because they have good looking fans

Omg. That's hilarious. Tell em go for it. Goes to show, even a college baseball team can beat a major League team every now and then.
Honestly, imo, Monte would win a championship with the players on vandy. Do we not recruit abroad and do we not have a s & c program.

Actually, this makes sense. Stankley isn't stupid like the products their members schools churn out (he is a 'cuse grad)
SEC takes underwhelming, often non-competitive programs that might not have been relevant since the 60s/70s that are the lesser school in their state/pairing. Of all the "expansion" teams, only TAM in 98 and Arky's Hatfield in 89 has a conference title since NC State last won theirs (Mizzou/Coots 69). With NC State not winning a conference title since 79 (which would be Arky's last non-Hatfield title with Holtz), it would bridge the dessert of non-competitve teams between the Coots/Mizzou and TAM/Arky.
NC State meets this requirements. They have not really been competitive since 1970s, they are the third/fourth fiddle in their state (depending on ECU/AppSt).
Lets be honest, the SEC does not take competitive programs but rather finds meat willing to accept a paycheck for the beating. Cough, coots. TAM might think otherwise, but they are just a quality W for a better team looking to win it all.

I’m all for NS State going to the SEC. It would tear down the North Carolina power base in the ACC. Go State and take the Heels with you!
