Seat Geek

Apr 6, 2023, 10:13 AM

Anyone with experience purchasing tickets through seat geek , seems legit and prices seem reasonable. Thanks for any comments.

I have used Seat Geek before and I have never had any problems with it. If you find a better deal on that sight I would recommend it.

My first choice has always been Stub Hub. However I have used Seat Geek as well. Good experience with both platforms. I would say compare prices on the two, if you like the price/seats better on Seat Geek go for it.

Stubhub, but watch out for the fees. They're like 20-30 percent so don't just compare the listed prices between the two also compare the actual final cost.

The big 3 ticket sites (Seat Geek, Ticketmaster, and Stubhub) are all completely fine. I would never buy tickets from individuals, but these big sites are great for that. They're all partnered with the major venues and organizations (NFL, MLB, NASCAR, NBA, Madison Square Gardens, etc.) and they have verification methods for all their tickets (any seller has to show their ticket so they can contact the organizers and verify authenticity and the seller has to put up a valid credit card).

I'm sure scamming is still possible, but it's very unlikely with the work they put in there. They also have excellent guarantees, which are usually the following:

1. You will get valid tickets in time for the event delivered to you (most of the time, tickets are sent immediately to your phone/email).
2. If there's any issue, they'll give you your money back or give you better tickets.
3. If the event is canceled, they'll give you a choice between your money back or like 125% credit for another event.

Any time you want to go to an event, I would just look at those three and see who has the best seats for the cheapest. They're all the same.

I have bought tickets through them and it has been fine. They have a lot of interactive seating charts where you can see the view from the seats. I sometimes look at seats there even if I am buying them through another site. As someone else mentioned, check the fees. Pretty much the same as Stubhub and Ticketmaster in how they work but sometimes one of them will have lower fees than the others
