If all 3 teams go 1-1 then top seed advances. So UVA could go 1-1 and another team go 2-0 and team 3 go 0-2 and UVA won't advance.
However, the loser of Clemson Vs. Duke is eliminated. Because any 1 loss tie breaker goes to UVA.

The loser of Duke and CLEMSON is not eliminated until UVa wins a game. UVA could lose both games.

Yes they are. For Virginia to lose both games, that means the the winner of duke and Clemson must be 2-0 after beating Virginia therefore eliminating the loser of the Clemson/duke game

The tournament format is not appealing, too many games that

are irrelevant to the tournament such as UVA's game against the loser of the CU-DUKE game. Also, what about the CU-UVA game in the event that DUKE wins its two?

ACC Tourney schedule is what it is. It may favor the top seeds, but that's fair since it is is a direct reflection of the regular season. We can and should beat Duke and beat UVA 2 of 3. If we don't, shouldn't be in the championship round anyway.

IMO it is set up to keep the pitching fresh for the top 4 seeds for the NCAA

And so there is a huge difference between being the 4 or 5 seed
But it is what it is.

Re: What do you mean by "beat UVA 2 of 3"?***

Back in March, the Tigers beat UVA 2 out of 3 games at Douglas Kingsmore. The rubber game for the series win was a Tiger romp (12-1). I think we have the edge with our pitchers, hitters and 2 days rest. Go Tigers.

I actually think it's fair because of the incentive to finish top 4. That should be rewarded. Understand that it does create 'meaningless games. But not sure how you'd create that and reward the top seed.
