going into place where all NIL deals $600 or more are required to be disclosed and reviewed by Deloitte, I guess it is. It said Oregon has filed a bill to amend its NIL law whereby it would prohibit any organization from requiring "college" athletes to disclose NIL agreements if the NIL agreements simply have non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements in them.

In other words, Oregon trying to make it so their on the side pay-for-play deals can't be checked out.

I'm sure many other states will follow.

What do you call 6,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?

If NIL is tax exempt, you think the pro players are going to lobby to say that some of their contracts are based on NIL. Just from the 12 players on the Hawks, they'd lose out on millions of dollars from their salaries. Not to mention every single commercial those guys did would be tax free.
Alabama doesn't really have to worry about it with no pro teams. But the 3 major teams in ATL would be a big dent to the Georgia tax coffers.

Don't forget this is talking about state taxes and not federal. State taxes are only a fraction of federal and some do not even have state income tax.
