Rotation this Weekend vs Nancy St

Personally, I would like to see Gordon, Grice, and Darden in that order, but I have not heard any announcements yet. Our bullpen has some better play lately and Ammons is back which is great news. I am thinking we take 1 out 3 from Raleigh this weekend but I am being hopeful for more. Bats need to get a little hotter. Go Tigers!

Unless Amick plays 1B Sunday and Grice DH’s Caden has to throw Sunday so he can play 1B Friday and Saturday

Can Amick not play 1st on Saturday? Grice is the better pitcher than Darden.

they do not want grice throwing after a start. he is probably our best starter but if he is gonna play friday and saturday they got to save him.

Yes he could but then Amick would have to play 1B again Sunday due to Cadens arm being done for the weekend. Caden is our primary 1B therefore you would like him to be there for the 2 games he’s not pitching

If this makes any sense, the way this team is made up, I would prefer we shoot for Saturday and Sunday wins tbh. Use whoever for Friday but go with Gordon and Grice Saturday and Sunday. Let’s be real, we’re not scoring many runs Friday anyways off of teams Aces. We lost Friday to fsu and ND and still won the series. This is the way to go. I wouldn’t call it sacrificing Friday especially since it’s game 1 but I wouldn’t want to waste our best arm in a 1 or 2 run effort. Does that make sense?

Yep. It's called stacking your rotation. It can work during the regular season, but you will still have to beat the best in the postseason.
