I look at it as he over performed most of the season. UGA talent gap was massive. His starting RB was out. I know a UGA insider who said Kirby was rolling the dice on that game and coming out to destroy his opponent. Taking chances, bringing the house, wide open, ears pinned back.
I think the fact they were even there is a testament to their coaching. Talent wise them playing UGA was like us playing Tampa Bay, or Dallas, or take your pick.

TCU's recruiting rankings last 4 yrs: 32nd, 23rd, 54th, 45th
UGA's: 2nd, 1st, 4th, 3rd
doesn't account for transfers, but no top program centers a recruiting class on how many transfers they get. In the state of TX, TCU is 4th or 5th in the pecking order among in-state schools. Add in out of state, they go further down
