What about the other defensive coaches? We replaced Streeter with Riley but that was it, then a year later fired Austin. Why not replace Nick Eason and Chrus Rumph?

Maybe you didn't see that our front four was doing their job and the back four was doing their job. The linebacker corps was underdeveloped and the schemes that Wes was calling stunk. That's why he's gone.

Uhmm? Front 4 was not doing their job but more specifically DE's. Took best DT to play DE, that didnt work. Put best DT in place and used 3rd string DEs trying to get the edge covered. Reason I say 3rd string is because we do not have any 2nd string worthy guys, and only one D1 DE on the team this year. Then when DL cant do their jobs then LBs cant do theirs and its a snowball.
Heldt should be a good upgrade. Hopefully Lawson makes the next step. Our LBs need some better coaching. Hopefully the DTs will be solid with PWoo, Capehart, Amare, Green, etc.

Yeah somehow he(Conn) is staying as I saw a picture of him and Rumph with a recruit recently.

Too early to tell on Eason and Rumph. Horrendous LB play was the main culprit in the mediocre defensive performance in '24. Without sound gap integrity, the run can't be stopped. Without the ability to stop the run, there can't be a viable defense.
