This is a classic example of media created hype and people buying into it.
Nothing has happened this entire season to give any credibility to the idea that Alabama should be a prohibitive favorite in this game.
Or even that they should be a favorite at all.
The nation is going to finally realize all this after next Monday night.

Still, though, if they has won 10-7, they would still be favorites because of the national perception of them.
I like us +7. I liked us vs. OK +4.

they can beat Clemson. Clemson is the team that's ranked #1, the team that has won 17 straight, the team that has not trailed in the 4th quarter over that streak, the team that has beat 4 top 10 teams this year, the team whose reject QB beat the snot out of them, and the team that has Deshaun Watson.

1) DW4
2) Thier D held MSU to Zip with a QB in Cook who was clearly injured and MSU was not a offensive juggernaut when Cook was healthy. Tigers held Boomer Sooner to 17 when they were averaged 46 a game, which is more impressive.
3) They scored 38 on a good MSU Defense. They couldn't run on them which surprised me, but threw it very well but MSU secondary is thier biggest weakness on D, still a little surprised Coker did as well as he did. We put up 37 on Boomer Sooner and would have been more been more if Big Game Bob hadn't waved the white flag. Completion percentage wise Waston had a off day, we aslo had a lot off drops, chances are that won't happen again in the next game. We ran the Ball down thier throat when nobody thought we could.
4) The rest of the country will find out what we already know, if there is a team in the country who plays more physical than Bama its Clemson, we will hit them hard , early and often.
5) All the talking heads are picking Bama

I would say fate or the law of averages. Saban is currently 4-0 in National Championship games. He is due a loss. Nothing would be better than for his first loss in the Natty to be against the TIGERS!!!!!
