The only thing that can stop the Dems from blowing the Repubs out of the water in the midterms as well as the Presidential election is the Dems themselves. If they put the wrong candidates out there, continue with the woke bullship. If they get caught up in transgender again. If they focus on identity politics. The list goes on. They basically just have to stay out of their own way and they will destroy the Repubs. We will see what they do.

So Lester, if I am reading it correctly, you are saying dems need to stop being dems if they want to win again? I think you are suggesting the party needs to stop advocating for boys to play girl sports, they need to support strong borders, they need to stop advocating policy that promote ethnicity and sexual orientation over merit, they need to stop supporting the fraud, waste and abuse of taxpayer funds, they need to support removing non citizens who are here illegally, and they need to stop supporting worldwide unfair trade and tariff practices against the United States? Basically - they need to start acting like Republicans if they want to win again.

Everything, but acting like today's Republicans. Yeah that would be a losing proposition. Yeah Republican Party is a joke. The only reason they win is because the Dems can't get out of their own way. What they need to do is focus on kitchen table issues that impact everyone no matter what race or gender one is. They can focus on what some Repubs would consider socialism and still be fine.

Since Kamala stated none and I do not know what the Dems policies are on "kitchen table" issues, I would be curious to see what you think are the most important two such issues and why you favor the Dems position on those over Republicans. I honestly do not know of any for me.

Issues that Dems can focus on would be education, social security, medical insurance, college tuition, food assistance, day care, clean water, the environment, affordable housing, more safety nets for our elderly. I am just spit ballin here, but basics. I am sure they could creatively expand on all of that.

I would also focus on how we would have strong relations with our allies and focus on how Trump is destroying those and how he supports dictators.and how the Dems support democracies and the West. The Dems have endless options to separate themselves from Trump. They need to focus on those.

Any you are saying that you favor the democrats approach and position on all of those issues versus republicans, correct? I wonder what your position is on these; just pick a couple. What about day care and food assistance. What is the democrats position and what is the federal governments role in those?

I don't understand the exact question. Anyway, the Federal Govs role with day care is something I don't know about. I would support government assistance with that. I support food assistance. Thy already helps with food stamps for people. I would support making sure all children have free lunch at school. Maybe even send them home with something as well. I don't know those issues well enough, because I don't partake. I am sure the Repubs wants cuts though and the Dems would not.

I am note sure that Republicans want cuts, aside from elimination of the fraud and abuse in such programs. I think Dems believe something like this: we spend $10 billion on the program every year now and have identified that there is $2 billion of that which is fraudulent but we should not eliminate that. To do so would be a "cut" and "those poor families" are getting slashed by those rich Republicans". Again - I am talking about indisputable waste and corruption. The Republicans would be for eliminating that. Further, the Republicans would favor some sort of "means testing" to insure only the truly needed are getting the government subsidy. Democrats would say they do not care that someone drives down in their 2025 Mercedes and signs a form requesting benefits, and we should not ask any questions.

They want cuts and it's not about fraud. They would want those programs not even to exist. That expensive Mercedes example is rare, to non existent, and just bullshyatt.

I am guessing that you have never worked in a state department of social services have you. I was an auditor in such a department where we investigated reported abuse. From experience, the fraud is MASSIVE.
Secondly, what evidence (proposed legislation, words spoken, positions written) do you have to support Republicans want those programs to not even exist. (note: you can't cite CNN as a source!)

I have known plenty of people on food stamps and what you're talking is bullshyatt. It wouldn't matter if you worked in the role you were speaking of. That still wouldn't give you any insight on what people are doing at home. I don't watch CNN generally. I can tell your mind has been warped by nutty Repub propaganda. As far as me knowing Repubs want to make cuts. I know that from their own words and conservative media. I listen to more of that wacky bullshyatt than anything.
