I haven't liked Maria Taylor ever since then, she bashed Dabo to hell and back for benching Bryant. Then when Clemson went on to win the National Title, wouldn't even acknowledge she was wrong. Its so aggravating having to tippy toe around these topics, because someone like Maria Taylor can say anything like that and its fine. But if it was opposite and someone like Rachel said that about Trevor being benched for KB....she'd be having to apologize every day of the week twice on Sunday. Why can't people just be people and athletes just be athletes instead of having to cry about race every time one loses their job in any profession, like it can't just be...they weren't good enough?

I'm not even going to get started on the far left lol.

Just find it somewhere else. You are not going to find it from me or taking my thing away.”

Okay, well. So basically, Nichols was annoyed they were taking her gig away and giving it to Taylor, thought it was probably racially motivated, got caught saying so, got caught on the hot mike. Whoops. Who honestly knows? Maybe Nichols was right, maybe she wasn't...whatever, there's a gazillion different reasons the ESPN brass might have made that call, and Nichols thought was off the air, she wasn't, she tried to apologize, Taylor can either take the apology or she won't, and Nichols wound up with her own foot in her mouth. Ouch.

Gigs are competitive. Probably cutthroat competitive. Nichols, by the way, is an actress and model as much as an announcer...I've watched her on shows like Continuum (an actually pretty good Canadian time-travel sci-fi show)...she was on that real awful Conan re-make with Jason Momoa in place of Arnold Schwarzenegger. She did a real cheesy GI Joe movie awhile back. You figure the announcing world is probably as catty as the acting world or modelling world, when somebody loses out on a gig, they're maybe going to be butthurt about it, and the first thing anyone who loses out a gig does is probably rationalize.

I think maybe we need to get off the greater politics of stuff sometimes, and just be like: sometimes people are just gonna be people, and maybe not always the best of people when stuff doesn't go the way they want it to.

And yeesh Rose McGowan is a messed-up scary lady.
