To be a a good head coach you need to hire good assistants. Bad head coaches hire the wrong assistants. Maybe Muschamp was meant to be an assistant and not meant to be a head coach. Dabo was meant to lead and run a program.

the only reason that he was called a cheerleader and not an x's and o's guy is because he was never a coordinator. You better believe that he is involved with the play calling and play making.

Exactly all his OC hires haven't been huge names. Chad was 2 years out from HS and Scelliott were first time OCs. To be able to identify the coaching talent from less known candidates shows how well versed Dabo is in Xs and Os.

When Coach Swinney was on the field with the ESPN crew he showed he knows more overall about the 3 phases of football than any coach they've ever had. All Muschump knows is see ball hit player with ball and they don't do that very well.

Cusschamp spent the entire week b!tching and moaning about the officiating in the Florida game rather than moving-on and focusing on and preparing for Tennessee.
The players fed off of it and that mentality likely contributed, at least in part, to them getting embarrassed (as a road favorite) by a really bad team.
Show me one example of that EVER happening during Dabo's tenure.
Winners make plays and find a way to get better and win
Losers make excuses.
Better coach indeed !!!!

The head coaches first and mist important job is hiring and developing quality assistant coaches/coordinators - Dabo is better.
Second most important is recruiting - Dabo is better.
I could go on down the list but Dabo wins all comparisons.

That somehow Dabo isn’t a good head coach are the ones saying that he’s going to Alabama when Saban retires and Clemson will fall apart.
