Questions about Crownover for those who've seen him

I realize he's built his record against lesser competition, but could he be a possibility for the Sunday starter's role? What kind of pitcher is he, power or breaking stuff? TIA

closer this year but pitched well enough that he became the Sunday starter until someone rose to the top. I think Firth coming in the 8th to shut down UGaY is probably a glimpse into the future of this year's team. Crownover has pitched well has had good control and able to spot his fastball in pressure spots. We are young but I can see us being a very good team at the right time. In college baseball you do not have to be great at the beginning just at the end of season, when it counts.

Honestly its not a bad change. Koerner has looked pretty good in his mid week starts and we only have one more week of multiple mid week games. Erwin gives us a great left handed option mid game and maybe Firth can step into the closer role and let guys like Schnell and Meyer fill the set up role. This teams seems to have a lot of pieces that but not everyone is in the right place yet.

The kid was a projected 1st round draft pick out of high school going into his senior year. He was never going to step foot on campus, then arem injury and I believe Tommy John. They have taken it slow with him and now looks really good. He is a spot pitcher using offspeed but can touch low 90's with fastball. He was actually I believe projected out of high school higher prospect than Schmidt. So....Yes, give him a shot as Sunday starter.

Many of the players offered by Clemson have interest from the pro scouts out of HS. If Clemson offers they move up a notch as scouts believe that the coaching staff knows talent.

I'm sure they respect the opinions of Clemson coaches, but the mere fact that Clemson (or USC) has offered is worth diddly-squat.

The first half of your comment is what I was referring to. The second part of your sentence I respectfully disagree, unless Diddly-squat = tuition to play baseball.
