In the draft last year, McKenzie Alexander was robbed. No way he was a 2nd rounder. He is as good as it gets, and he will absolutely shine as a pro. This is going to be fun to watch.

Only thing I can think of why he wasn't taken in the first round is, on paper his stat sheet showed a 0 next to the word interceptions and he only had two years of college playing experience. With all that said, with his raw talent, competitiveness, and work ethic he'll prove the teams wrong who past on him.

The Panthers only took 5 draft picks this
year - a DT in the 1st round, CBs in the
2nd, 3rd, and 5th, and a TE in the 7th.
Cornerback was 60% of their draft.
Guess they didn't think Mac was 1st round
material or didn't want to pay him that much.
Wonder if they would have picked him in the
2nd round if he had still been available.
Hope he becomes an All-Pro and Pro Bowler.

I love my Tigers and Mac, but "as good as it gets" may be a stetch. I think 2nd round was actally quite good for him considering his height and only 2 years of production. Let's not forget covering WRs is easier when you have had a front seven like ours pressuring the QB and giving them not time to think or throw

There is a reason he wasn't tested much. Other OC's saw the futility in it. Look at the lack of production others had who went up against him, and look at how few times they went at him. There is a reason for it. That says it all.
