I know you want to protect your starters in a blowout, but Dabo obviously wants respect. Yet, he refuses to keep his foot on the gas through the 3rd quarter. 45-0 is a nice statement, but we could score 70, then put in backups. The playoff committee will look at scores. They won't look at the way the fame took place.

Exactly. Nick can't produce any points when the backups are in. If the backups could tack on a score or two, the scores would look much different.

The committee is not going to push us out because we beat a team by 45 instead of 59 they will look at this game and see how dominate we were and notice that the majority of the 2nd we we're playing 2nd and 3rd teamers. These reps will pay dividends next year

It's short sighted. If you win you're in. You don't need 70. And you want to play all the guys you can who may have to step up if there is an injury and/or who are your future guys.

The committee plainly stated that last year , if you weren't listening. They mull over the entire directory of a team's season if it is under consideration for the playoff .
Blowouts are way down the list of what the season says about your team , one would think . Clemson is controlling teams right now , and only a handful can make that claim at this point .

He's not letting off the gas. Dabo has said that he wants no drop-off when our second and thirds go in, so they need to execute. They will never get to the point where they can execute in a real game without the real game reps.
