I’ve mentioned on here before that I work for a beer distributor, and our biggest supplier is Anheuser-Busch. Well, due to the genius decision making of the Bud Light marketing department I found out today that my position is “going away”. Same goes for our other 4 branches. Fortunately, there is a position for me to move into. I don’t know if I can say the same for my colleagues. More changes are coming. I guess 16yrs has me a little safer than others.
While the corporate people are updating their LinkedIn accounts for their next gig, those of us that do the grunt work are suffering the consequences. Many of you don’t agree with the decision that was made, well, neither do we. We are Bud Light drinkers too (as well as many other better beers I will admit).
So my request is, while y’all are enjoying our Tigers whip some @$$ on the diamonds this weekend, enjoy a Bud Light as well! Or any other A-B product, I won’t tell anyone. You can follow it up with a nice bitter IPA or a good glass of bourbon (there are many suggestions to choose from on here).
Cheers! 🍻 Go Tigers! 🐅 ⚾️ 🥎

That’s terrible, man. Best of luck in your new role. Hate that such an ill-advised corporate decision trickled down to honest folks like yourself.
Cheers!

I truly hate it for you. Unfortunately, the leaders often make poor decisions. I worked as a District Sales manager for Interstate Brands Corporation, which to many of you knew as Merita, Wonder, Hostess and Dolly Madison as well as many other brands. We were in bankruptcy from poor upper management and then some of those northern unions refused to want to pay $9.00 per week for great insurance. The guy who was running us in bankruptcy, said that's fine break it up and sell it off and thousands lost their jobs nationwide. I get where you coming from, but people in our new "woke" generation forget the average joe out here working day to day. We are still the majority. I do hope you land on your feet as well as your colleagues.

I’m not certain but I’d be willing to wager that the gurus at AB that made the marketing decisions aren’t conservative. That’s just a guess. They sure crapped the bed though. You’re right about that.

I always find it strange that you can buy single beers at the store cheaper than you can buy a soda.

Funny how guys have boycotted the beer but yet I counted and there were no less than 5 Bud Light Logos on the NFL Draft stage last week but guys still tuned in and lapped it all up not afraid they would catch "The Gay". Boycotts are so silly. All types of beer have put up advertising and distributed their products to all sorts of bars and events over the decades.

Anheiser Busch is dead to me and nothing will change that. Figured all that LGBTQ business A.B. picked up would have the money rolling in.
