Hey Tiger Nation,
A couple of days ago a friend of mine, Jesse Burnett, passed away after complications from covid. He was in the hospital since before Christmas and his health declined pretty rapidly. I don't want this to get into any kind of debate or anything but his family needs help.
Jesse was a fantastic friend and we met through a small group a number of years ago at our church. He was a fellow photographer and shot with me on a number of occasions and it was always a great event with him helping. He is survived by his wife (he called her his soul mate) Yahira and son Joey (11).
As anyone would expect, hospital stays aren't cheap. The family has not asked for anything but prayers but there is this link if you feel lead to help financially.

Prayers for his family has been sent. I really find it very hard to understand why a man with a family wouldn't get the vaccine when it's free to all that want it. For me personally, that just doesn't make sense when knowing there is a chance that covid can kill without discrimination, and leaving behind a family that will surely suffer....

How in the world do you know he wasn’t vaccinated? There are thousands of vaccinated people dying daily with/from Covid.

Shoeless, I am assuming you are the one who made all the awesome hype videos a few years back. But on the serious note of your friend. My mom passed from covid back in september. We applied with FEMA for medical and funeral expense forgiveness b/c it is a national emergency or something like that. Anyways, every penny of her medical was covered and they reimbursed us for her funeral expenses in full. Here is the link for the funeral expenses and i will continue to look for the medical. Condolences to you and the family on the loss, I know first hand how much losing a loved one to this awful disease is and I don't wish it for anyone.

My prayers go out to them as well. I was once in the hospital for 3 and 1/2 months. My insurance didn't want to pay after a certain point. And it didn't want to pay for physical rehabilitation, etc. So my dad got a copy of the policy, and read it front and back. And he showed the insurance guy at the hospital that I was due more.
Maybe you could try this. I went from unconscious TBI patient, to back to work.
