Post from the elderly

I understand only 3 people read my TN posts and few responded to my Vet Day post as to my Military service as I was not a hero. Poor me!

But --- from the porch like now have fun posting as my birds eat and the music plays. My life is pretty darn good these days.

In the evenings watch TV for a couple hours, never in the day as I am too busy doing "TUG things".
"In the day" did not have much chance at TV, so much that is "old" is "new" to me. I prefer older over the newer woke things.

I ran up on Amanda Tapping in 'Sanctuary' - she is now my favorite celebrity.
From there found her in StarGate when younger and blond. That put me off some, but adjusted.

Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis are about a million episodes, so been watching for some time now.

Last night on "Vet Day" a tune came on in an episode that was over the top. Written by Neil Diamond and performed by Johhny Cash -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PYtoIawREs

This video is from Stargate Atlantis where John Sheppard as LT Col is the leader.
In this one episode "in an alternate universe", he is a broken detective who stumbles on a Wraith, has no idea what it is.
The huge thing missing from the video is Samantha sends two of my favorite planes to take out the Wraith. In this video they don't show them. You get to see the trailer explode, in the show you see them attack.
When the A-10 Thunderbolt "Warthog" shows on any battlefield, it takes instant command.
It is an incredible war machine - the best.

It was the most impressive display of firepower that I saw during my time in the Army. Spectacular devastation.

The A-10 Warthog is also my favorite warplane of all time, and there are many great fighters and ground support attack planes ✈️

Yup. Missed your Veterans Day post. All gave some and some gave all. Thank you for your service.

There’s no doubt the A-10 Warthog is one of the finest flying machines ever built. Flying tanks.

The woke crap is outta control. I have a trans guy dressing like a girl trying to get everyone’s attention at my local gym. They got really upset when some older guys were laughing at it yesterday. Was surprised to see it back today doing the runway walk on the treadmill. If you don’t want the attention, stop drawing it to you. Just be you and stay in your lane instead of trying too hard for everyone’s attention.

Mental illness has been pushed for years as "normal".
That is not empathy, nor is it the help they need.

Humans have empathy for other humans

regardless of race, gender or creed. Some people may not be on the path they want, chose or understand, but calling a human being an "it" because they may, as you say, "have a mental illness" or otherwise, isn't what this worlds needs. You'd think a person that calls themself a therapist of suicide victims wouldn't be so misanthropic or trailer-trash-like.

The problem and push back for most is when it became political.
That and the sports thing where clearly it is silly.
