of the $275,000 bonus for reaching the Sweet Sixteen and Final Four this on top of $5.4 million base bay according to Forbes. Really Kentucky. Basketball is worth that much.

Both UofL and UK make a lot of money from basketball....only. A few programs do so.

The money is there to probably pay him more. However, it is absurd how much coaches salaries have risen over the past 10-15 yrs.

Basketball in KY is huge. My girlfriend is from Kentucky and is a UK fan. She says that Kentucky's basketball is as important to them as football is to us tiger fans.
