USC Football GPA lowest of ALL sports at the University!

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Football was the only one of South Carolina's 18 athletic programs to have a grade-point average of less 3.0 for the recently finished fall semester.

The school released its academic report Wednesday. Football finished the semester with a 2.693 GPA.

Women's tennis led the way at 3.542. South Carolina's athletes finished with an overall GPA of 3.208, which the department said was the 16th straight semester they'd been at 3.0 or higher.

The school said men's basketball had its best semester ever with a grade-point average of 3.299. Women's track and field and cross country also posted its high-water mark with an average of 3.501.

Baseball finished next-to-last with a 3.043 while the school's No. 1-ranked women's basketball team had a semester average of 3.074.

Not to defend the coots, but that's pretty common at all schools. They are doing a good job falling apart by themselves. We don't have to get on them about small cap.

Football will always be at the bottom. I see sprint 2013 your men's swimming was 2.33 compared to 2.6 in football though.

Men's swimming was disbanded so those numbers are not real

How come there was no talk about Clemson football's great 2.36 gpa for fall of 2013. Or their meteoric rise to 2.60 for the spring of 2014. Maybe when they release the fall of 2014 gpa you can beat the coots.

a 2.3 GPA at Clemson is equivalent to a 3.7 GPA at the University of Second Choice. Thanks.
