Tigers whether it was influenced by Dabo or Riley. I will be glad to get back sometime to the kind of OC we had under Chad Morris. Wes seems to be doing much better than Riley. I watched some of the SC game and their OC who was with the NFL at one time did a great job even calling a shuttle pass for the go ahead score. I’m
Sorry to say because I love my tigers but we are getting outcoached most games and we don’t have the Dudes like we did to cover this up.

But more so with GR since he just hasn’t helped the O as much as I thought he would but again it’s still apparent to many of us that Dabo still has his hand on the O calls.
Now, Wes is another situation in that he is not gonna do the blitzing and crazy packages Venables made his name on but instead plays it safe.
The D’s national rankings under Wes have gone from Venables top 5-10 to the high 20’s, to the high 40’s & now in the high 50’s or worse. Check it out.
Saying, neither of these Co-ordinators are making us look like the old days but then again we don’t have the level of talent for them to work with.

Recruits and their parents also see those grades dropping also. Even when they have been die hard Clemson fans their entire life, that won't matter with a parent that wants the best for their young sons and they will make that point clear to them.
I'm honest when I say that I personally don't know anybody that actually loves Clemson sports, mostly FB more than I do, but I would want what was best for my son over any school or their sports programs. My direct bloodline out ways anything, and it does for the parents that want their son/sons to get the best coaching possible!!!
I don't, but if I had a son that was good at FB, and he was looking for a college where he could get the very best coaching and he had only two choices, Clemson or the USUC, if USUC had the better coaches, that is where I would want my to be coached. I'm just being honest, and thank God there are other colleges that will always have just as good or better coaches than USUC bc it would be a living nightmare to know one of mine was at USUC, but if USUC did have the best coach for my son's position, I would live that nightmare for my son!!!

I would want my son to go to the school where the coaches are great people that will help turn my son into the best man he can be. Talent will always win out if the players work ethic is right. This is similar to what is wrong with all the travel ball stuff going on now.

Dude we scored 7 #### points in the second half with 1.16 time and no time outs left and you seem to beside yourself. A win is better than a loss but something is rotten in Denmark.

I was watching some of the play calling in the Georgia-Tennessee game as well as a few others. One play, the guards pulled and went left with the running back following making it look like a run that way, while at the same time the end ran the opposite way behind the line and slipped into the secondary for a pass resulting in a touchdown.
On another play, the tight end lined up on the opposite side he normally lined. While the secondary seemed confused about who was covering whom, Georgia quickly snapped the ball and hit him for another touchdown.
We don’t run plays like that anymore. During our championship years, we kept defenses off balance, but we’re pretty vanilla now. A handful of basic plays. Running plays are straight up the middle or trying to reach the edge with an average speed back while the defense is much faster, wide receiver screens, etc.
We just aren’t imaginative on offense anymore like the great teams are.

We’ve been vanilla since Jeff Scott left, him and Tony made a great team, but since then it’s been worse and worse. We’ve seen glimpses of a great offense this year, but then the next game or even the next drive it looks like we’re back in the Rob “mad scientist” Spence era. I was initially excited about Riley but I would have thought we would be more consistent by now.
And Goodwin is out of his depth, he’s a great brain but he’s not a good DC. No intensity, no pressure, and a consistent, rapid decline on defense performance year over year. Stats don’t lie

Just like the play with Renfrow, Bama defense never expected the ball was going to Renfrow, they thought it was a QB run play with DW4 attempting to run the ball in, and boom he hits Renfrow with that quick pass and Touch Down Tigers win the NCG!!! It was Jeff Scott that made that call!!!!

We did not keep teams off balance with play calling. We kept them off balance with pure generational talent. We have never had a great game day OC in my opinion. We have had what I would call good OC’s but not ones where consistently good play calling.

We are being out coached in practice every day also. Please God allow Dabo to see his era's in a couple of coaching hires. It's been two years, and those guys have had plenty of time to do a good job and they just haven't passed the grade. I know that Dabo see's where changes should be made and makes them.

I don’t think he was giving a Breaker Breaker to the The Bandit about smoky hiding out on the Turnpike.
Honestly, I think the conservative play is a Dabo thing. It has been going on since he became HC and we have had many different OCs in that time. (Remember the Scar game in 2022 when we had a lead at half time) GR might be “calling” the plays, but I think Dabo keeps Cade on a short leash when we have the lead. Cade plays better when we have tempo and he can move the ball from my armchair though. They need to unleash him against the coots and let us score 60.

We have more than enough dudes to have a killer offense. We’re just too conservative, too vanilla, too simple, and too easy to game plan against. Add to that, we make few in game adjustments to counter what the defense is doing. That’s lack of experience.
Every DC we face believes they can shut us down, and even halfway decent teams have done so.
