Pitching very depleted today

I am honestly glad Mahlstedt was able to extend and finish the game Saturday night. Threw about 50 pitches and a 3-inning save.

Hudson Lee was the pitcher when everything fell apart today, when it went from 5-3 to 10-3.

Clemson Ended up scoring 6 runs though

And honestly, if we had key relievers able to go from the point Stanford had 5 runs, Clemson may have won 6-5.

Our bullpen is outstanding. Actually it might be the best or the 2nd best in the country so far.

Very frustrating to keep ending up short handed with sweeps, but you have to see the reason why we lost today.

Bakich wouldn’t even take Hudson Lee out after the first couple runs he gave up, he just let him pitch because we were so short-handed

I wouldn’t say short handed we just have a few guys who make are bullpen good unavailable… should have gave titsworth another day off yesterday since he threw so much Wednesday night and he would have been available today. Hopefully other guys will begin to step up like Fitzgerald did today…still find it weird how our number “3” starter hasn’t pitched a game in weeks(not saying he should be starting but if that’s who you think our number 3 is the first month of the season he should be throwing an inning or 2 in relief at least a week) other pitchers will need to step up before postseason gets here or it will be a tough regional.

The bullpen is not the problem....it's the fact we don't have a solid Saturday OR Sunday starter. Once Knaak has thrown his innings, the rest of the starts are a crap shoot

You my friend are a broken record. We all know your position because you won’t shut up about it & quite frankly it’s getting old. Time to give it a rest. Time will tell if you ultimately are right or wrong.

there are a lot of people that unfortunately have no clue what is going on. our staff is not whole. mcgovern has been hurt. bell is ramping up from injury. samol will hopefully help at some point. gillen is getting close. there are 17 games left in the regular season. plenty to get everyone healthy and ready for post season. but hey we all know it is what have you done for me "today" society.

Please tell me LeGuernic isn't hurt. Just a bit surprised we didn't see him this weekend. Good to see McGovern.

As for Stanford, pre season top 20 team that's been on a huge losing streak. Eventually they were going to breakout their funk.

Most of our pitching staff that is available currently is pitch to contact guys. It's been working well.
