Pitching in mid week games

Sad that we are having to throw our weekend pitchers for the 2nd straight midweek game just to survive . Bakich has to reevaluate his pitching staff and pitching coach when this season ends . I think it is obvious we have numerous players on the team that don’t belong pitching at this level.

Do you even know how many pitchers are out for the season or are on pitch counts returning from injury? It's not like there's a minor league for rehab starts.

This right here. We are slowly trying to bring back Talan Bell, so hopefully he can help us out in the postseason. Of course you want to win, but at the end of the day, midweek games aren't that pivotal. Its all about the weekend series. Heck we lost in the midweek earlier this year, but won our weekend series and moved UP in the rankings.

the mid week game we lost was to a ranked Coastal team, not a bad Gardner Webb squad. Never should we have had to bring in weekend pitchers to help beat them last nite. We should have took batting practice off them instead of mustering a whopping 4 hits. You can keep making excuses but this is the type thing that will get us knocked out of our regional early, and prevent us from winning a super against really good teams.
