Expansion for the sake of expansion is pointless. The needle moving programs, Oregon and Washington, are already spoken for. Cal and Stanford are great academic institutions, but no one is tuning in to watch a debate...or Cal football. Only potential benefit for CU is renegotiation of the GOR. Maybe expansion opens up that possibility.
