Did anyone consider Pete Golding next defensive coordinator. He’s a Saban under study. Flight landed in Clemson from Oxford and departed back to Oxford Monday. I thought this was interesting. Seems like it could be a good fit with Dabo

Ole Miss's defense is ranked fourth in college football for 2024, with an average of 13.9 points allowed per game:
1st: Ohio State, 11.4 points allowed per game
2nd: Texas, 13.3 points allowed per game
3rd: Notre Dame, 13.8 points allowed per game
4th: Ole Miss, 13.9 points allowed per game
Ole Miss also led the nation in sacks per game through December 27, 2024, with 4.33 sacks per game.

In 2023 Clemson finished 8th in total defense

Ole Miss was outside of the top-50, I don’t know exactly how low because they don’t have numbers on the rankings list to indicate. It was probably about 75th.


We need a proven, consistent coach.

This would be a tragedy

This guy isn’t going to give you anymore than Wes Goodwin.

Aside from some games because of things besides defense that cause the result of that game.

Ole Miss was good on defense this year, in fact i think it was the strength of the team overall, it was expected ole miss offense would be the strength but actually jaxson dart kind of sucked the 2nd half of the year, defense carried them including shutting down georgia.

here are there losses 21-17 Florida (3 of darts last 4 passes were INT's and yet defense kept getting ball back for him)

Kentucky 20-17.......once again offense went 30 minutes without scoring a point

LSU- 23-17.......Dart played a terrible game and gave LSU ten points.

so ole miss was actually very good this year on defense, and they had a good DL

He wouldn’t have been in Oxford Monday. They arrived in Jacksonville Sunday.
