Everything else aside, this was a smart business decision for him imo. He should walk in as the day one starter, and with the types of offenses he will face at Oregon, he should have a great opportunity to showcase his talents for the NFL. Good luck to him.

When we were DI's at Parris Island together. I made him a Tiger fan. He took me two years ago to the Autzen Stadium insane asylum and it sealed the deal. Other than wearing the Paw, no better place for Scott. Hope he beasts out up there. Best fans outside of Tiger fans Ive ever been around.

It opens a spot this year but too late in the cycle as all the top talent is already signed and delivered. Scott would be gone after this year regardless so the answer is no

Scott has never said it, but it is certain that his reason for leaving was, in fact, about playing time and positioning himself for the Draft? I just have this feeling that there is something else driving his decision to leave.

I would assume that's it. He'll be a day 1 gamechanger for their defense. He would have been a big part of our defense too, but you've also gut Big Dex, Christian, and Huggy Bear splitting reps with you, so he probably just felt like that was the best decision for the next phase of his career and idon't blame him. Good luck to the new Oregon Tiger.... Clemson Duck.... idk, either way.

about the linebacker a few years back that went to Miss State. He at least had a real reason for needing to get back to the Mississippi area. These two that just went to Oregon and Oklahoma State, I just don't get. The DB could have been a starter and Pagano was getting staring snap numbers. I think Pagano simply wanted more snaps and a better audition for the pros, but I'm still not sure about the DB.

He spent four years at Clemson. Now it's time for a masters and to go spend some time closer to home before heading to the NFL. We don't know his family situation or much of anything about him outside of football.

The Ducks are in for some learning. CLEMSON players are well-coached, so Oregon just got lucky IMO. Congrats to both Pagano and Oregon. Hope to hear good things about you at Oregon.

I except nothing less than:
- Starter on day 1
- 1st or second team all Conference
- Top 3 in tackles for a D Line in that conference
- Top 3 in sacks for a D Line in that conference
And, to absolutely terrorize every offensive Center & Guard on the Ducks schedule this year.
He accomplished what he wanted, and can't blame him for wanting to move back to the west coast and expereince something new!! I'll be following his career for sure as he did nothing but good things for Clemson!!

If getting back closer to home was his mission, I agree with his move. If getting into the NFL is his mission, I think he would be just as well off playing for us, but I am not a NFL scout, and I could be wrong. He would have gotten plenty of PT and he would have continued to excel against the best of competition we play (and beat regularly). I do wish him well, and I am proud of him for finishing with a degree from Clemson and a NC on his resume. He was a favorite of mine, right up until he decided to leave us for someone else.

Well, I hate he left Clemson, but I wish him well. He didn't trade up, though, and who knows if he will get his wish to be "the starter" for the Ducks. Good luck to him, and congrats to Oregon. They got a "Man" when they got this guy, IMO, and I imagine he will help them immediately.
