Very true...which was visibly evident watching the Miami vs Kentucky game last night . I believe Kentucky was ranked 12 and Miami 8 but it looked like Kentucky could've beat them by 50pts if they had wanted to. Things have not ironed out enough yet to see who is who

Difficult for me to explain that! I’ve watched Tiger basketball closely since 1961 and the performance, under those conditions, was among the best that I can recall. Terrible officiating against a team that had a 5 - 1 record, on the road, against a ranked team, tough environment, and the Tigers were never outplayed all night.
Great job by the coaching staff also.

I believe Net rankings post on Mondays and it was before the game. They still have Bana at 5-2, they are 5-3. Clemson will move up.

The records are for this season but the NET is from last April. Alabama finished 2022-23 at #2 & we were at #67. You can see that rating on the NCAA webpage.

The basketball iq of Clemson fans is depressing. Not the first time something like this has been posted and people still believe it. 10 responses and only 1 seems to understand that NET rankings aren’t live yet. The NCAA rankings clearly show they haven’t been updated since April. Other sites import their data from the NCAA. They run algorithms based on approximations of the NET formula to offer “live” NET rankings which reset when the NCAA updates their data. NET rankings anywhere are meaningless until the NCAA issues their first rankings which happens the first week of January. You can use KenPom and RPI (36 and 19) if you want to see real rankings but they are highly volatile this time of year.

I’m sorry - it was unnecessarily rude. But it’s at least the 5th time I’ve seen someone post about it, usually coupled with outrage about how unfair the ranking system is.

Net rankings are not live yet. What you are seeing is last years rankings. Hence why Bama is 2 and Houston is 1. Ken pom is the only major ranking system up to date. Net rankings start mid December
|
