a bit over the last few years due to the coaches being in front of the players at the top of the hill. They need to get at the back of the line because rather than seeing Dabo standing there clapping it's much more exciting to see this:

No, them being halfway down the hill before the cannon fires is not what we need. They're congregated behind the man they believe in and the man leading them into battle. Seems to be working, unlike when Tommy Bowden let them do whatever.

Simple solution- put the seniors up there and tell them not to let it happen....Make it a privilege that has to be earned to be able to walk out first.

individuals coming almost all the way down the hill doing whatever they wanted to do to get anybody's attention, then sure it was as intense as it gets.
Let me ask you this, when players run out of a tunnel, do they come halfway out it jumping around like a bunch of idiots and then finally all come out, or do they usually stay in the tunnel and run out behind their coach.
I'll wait princess.
By the way, the man's lost 6 games in Death Valley since 2008. He can damm well do whatever he wants to when it comes to the entrance.

And what do you think Dabo's little routine of walking out, kissing the rock, and pointing to the sky is? He just wants to be seen....
We were running down the hill before him and still will be when he leaves....He needs to get out of the way and let it be for the players.

The players were allowed to do it before, by a coach that we fired. No one is dogging them clown. Shut your mouth and go make sure your fire extinguishers are charged for your next loss.

Disagree completely. I love seeing Dabo come out first. He's the leader of the program and I like that he's part of the tradition and celebration. When Bowden was here it seemed like it was because of it was his job and he was here to collect a paycheck. Dabo has embraced tradition and seems to be a real part of the University.

And like others have said... The coach leads the team out whether its a hill or a tunnel, and secondly, its no less intense. Have you ever even been to a game? Its obvious you werent there Saturday.

Dabo should be in front! He is the face of the program and going to be here after our players leave (hopefully for a while). He is the leader, leading! I am sure he is purposely out front and it doesn't water down anything. But, I am fine with watering down the entrance as long as our play isn't watered down like back in the day!

Being halfway down The Hill before the band even started Orange Bowl March was extremely undisciplined and uncalled for.
SO, SO, SO much better now.

I know it's odd that the kickoff of a noon game against Presbyterian wasn't as "exciting" as the night game against a ranked GT with ESPN gameday in town. I'm sure it's the coach at the top of the hill that made the difference in excitement.

It was the best video that came up with the same angle as the first one.
The point wasn't how loud it was, the point is before we got to watch the players jumping around....now the focus is on Dabo and it takes away from it IMO....
It's hilarious how upset some of these grown men get that someone shares a differing opinion.

The differenc3 between those two isn't Dabo at the front, it's the fact that now every player actually takes the time to touch the rock and pledge to give 110% as they get begin the run rather than just spill down en masse

we're also a much better team since doing the more "controlled" run, so I say don't mess with it. It's like the uniforms. Does wearing the "business suits" for most games and not having the players jump around and do whatever on the hill win games? Probably not, but I think those things are part of the changes Dabo has made that has helped us become the team we are now

I love that coach Batson and coach Greenlee and coach Smo and coach Hogan are in front of the players holding them back. It looks like the strength coaches are doing everything they can to hold back a pack of wolves that is about to tear apart whatever is waiting on that field.
And who better to hold them back than the strongeat coaches on staff, the guys that are in the fire with the team every day in the weight roon

Tommy Bowden had let it get to the point where players were halfway down the hill before the cannon went off. It became too much about individual players, like Dantzler shadow boxing and others dancing for the cameras. It was awful!
Dabo should be first. He is our coach and leader. It is about being a unified team and doing it the right way.
