Oregon or Sparty?

I think it best serves Clemson for MSU to win this one. PAC12 too weak of a conference for Oregon to trip up. ASU next best team in their division and they were just embarrassed by an unranked team.
MSU not good enough to make it through unscathed vs Wisconsin and Nebraska. OSU for sure loss.

I see Michigan State with the win at home,

but I don't think either of these teams is going to wind up in the playoff regardless.
Last year after OSU lost to Va. Tech, the B1G was written off as top heavy and weak underneath. That sentiment lasted all the way up to the CCG weekend, and look how that turned out. Right now the ACC is that storyline.

I think Oregon wins. Hope I'm wrong.
Michigan State, IMHO, is ailing. They were a great team because they had a great defense, and they had a great defense because of Pat Narduzzi. He is now gone - to Pitt. Which just lost their All-American running back in Week 1.
Minus Narduzzi, a very dangerous 10-2-type team that had a stone-wall defense and a really stodgy, conservative Big 10 offense is now probably an ordinary 8-4-type, unremarkable team with a really stodgy, conservative Big 10 offense that doesn't make a whole lot of plays...combined with a defense that is just pretty good to alright.
I'd love to be wrong. I'd love to see the Ducks go down and see a potential Clemson rival for one of those four playoff spots flame out in Week 2.
Don't think it'll happen. I do keep waiting for the moment when Oregon doesn't have an elite QB and the shine comes off the Ducks' rose...because it wasn't Mark Helfrich who built that team, it was Chip Kelly, and minus Kelly, once the shine goes off the Duck program it's going to take a special coach - and not just a system guy like Helfrich - to put that shine back on. But for now, alas, the Ducks have got that East Washington transfer, and despite EWU's best effort to put Vernon Adams down with a cheap shot for "betraying" them and transferring to a place that might actually get him drafted, I think Adams is probably good enough to get them past Spartie.
Love to be wrong. I'd love to see the Pac-12 catch fire and explode this season. It'd grease the rails a lot, to getting Clemson to the playoffs.

Solid analysis. Hope ole Sparty finds a way today, bc they will be embarrassed by OSU in the regular season and knocked out of top 4 contention as a result.
Oregon has tonight's game and USC as the only ranked team/team with a pulse on their schedule. And BC took USC to the woodshed which leads me to believe they, like UCLA/ASU/LSU are a bit more hype than bite.
