I haven't seen anyone talking about it, but if we beat Syracuse this weekend shouldn't that mean that we win the division? I may be wrong but all we have left in conference play after Cuse is a Notre Dame who doesn't want to be in the ACC so doesn't count. A costal division foe in Miami, and Louisville who has lost 3 ACC games already.
Can someone let me know what needs to happen for us to be guaranteed to play in the ACCCG at this point?

If we beat CUSE then, Louisville will be the game that we clinch. Still have one more game before we can clinch.

No. If we beat Syracuse, they would have 1 ACC loss. We still have 2 more ACC games. If we were to lose to Miami and Louisville, and Syracuse were to win out, they win the division.

we may have problem - if we beat Syracuse, then the Louisville game will be the supposedly "designated" orange pants game since a division title will be on the line. However, that game is Military Appreciation/Purple Out day, so, uh, Dabo will have to make a decision . . . wear all purple in line with the Purple Out . . . or wear purple jerseys and orange pants in line w/ both.
Or, wear all orange as would normally be the case for orange pants games when it's not a purple out.
Or, maybe the space-time continuum will rend b/c of the paradox, and none of it will matter.

it's been dene before, but not for a while. I think 2009 against Kentucky in the Music City Bowl may be the last time Clemson wore purple jerseys without also wearing purple pants.

Purple and Orange are a rare and very cool color combination ! I would love to see us promote them together more often !!
Having said that, why not switch this weekend to Military Appreciation and go Purple out for Syracuse - and then all Orange for Louisville.

If Wake looses to either BC or Louisville AND Syracuse looses to us and to Pitt AND if the Pitt game concludes before our game with Louisville begins, then we will have already clinched the division. If that happens we may not wear orange pants until the state championship.

I was talking with a buddy about this yesterday and if Dabo sticks to what he has always done thus far it will be purple over orange. Both colors displayed with each representing 2 different things.
As for me they could come out in orange and purple thongs and I would not care. I just want to win the game.
