If clemson and Miami win out....by the time the acc title game is played miami would be top 3 and 11-1 clemson will be #5 or 6...even with a loss...neither team, especially one loss Miami falls outta the top 12 teams....
I see a realistic opportunity for clemson and Miami to be in the college football playoffs....

As an at large, yes, but we could still win the ACC with 1, perhaps even 2 more losses.

Looking at remaining schedules Miami has the toughest schedule. They have Louisville away and FSU at home. We have Va tech away and Louisville at home. Smu has Pitt. All 3 teams will be favored to win the rest of the season and none of the 3 play each other. One loss in the ACC may not get you in the championship game.

The loser of the ACCCG is not getting in the playoff. They will find a way to get 4 or 5 SEC teams in. It's just not going to happen.

If Miami stays in the top ten all season - and we beat the in the ACC championship game, we both get in.

Disagree.... hesitantly. If smu, Miami and Pitt continue to play well, there's a chance. If there's a bottleneck at the top, with several teams in the top 15, maybe. I know, that's a huge maybe. The fact that FSU was kept out last year does favor your mindset.

If they beat Louisville this Saturday, they have a very good chance of winning out in regular season. Their toughest games left would be Ga Tech and Syracuse. FSU could be tough because of the rivalry, but I just don't think FSU can keep Cam from destroying that secondary.

I can see a possibility of 3 ACC teams getting in with one scenario
Miami wins out regular season and goes to ACCCG
Both SMU and us win out and we are undefeated in conference play which we both will easily climb into the top 12.
Miami then loses to either us or SMU in the ACCCG and no way they drop Miami a one loss team out of the top 12 and one ACC team gets the automatic bid and the other is in the top 12 already so 3 get in.
