One thing though, if Coot game is

Moved in schedule, Clemson will need big home and away games to finish the year. It would be disappointing to end with Wake Forest or GT as last game of the year. JMHO.

Why in the world would the game be moved? Moving the game is a really, really dumb idea.

Neff press conference today --said could be moved in the season because of conference realignment.

Still shouldn't be necessary to move the game to accomodate anyone

The conference just is being lazy and they want to throw the names in a rando-meter and put out the schedules. This makes extra work for them and they simply don't want to have to worry about it.

Because we seem to be obsessed with changing everything we hold dear! Crapping in the kitchen and cooking in the toilet would be new too, it’s a horrible idea

The ACCCG is the reason to move it up earlier - Having to play the Coots

…in the week before the ACCCG, gives the Coots the chance to take cheap shots on Clemson players with the hope to get Clemson players injured and sidelined for the ACCCG.
Move it to the BEGINNING of the season. Get it OUT OF THE WAY, making the outcome of that game (1) less of a factor than it does when played as the last game and (2) reduced roster impact for the ACCCG. Yeah, I know that there would still be a game with an ACC opponent replacing the Coots, but I don’t think that the MALICE between the players would be near as great if that last opponent was the Coots.

I think we should play the Coots every year, the first game and anywhere else on the schedule them dirt peckers want to put it. This time of year gets tough for me because of where I live but it was silent for 8 years until last year. My family members who are coot fans better hope the Tigers win so their Christmas gifts will be better.Go Tigers, give me some smiles.

I've enjoyed beating the Heels in mid-November and early December this year and last. They would serve as a perfectly adequate finale each year.

I hate govt control of anything but this is 1 time govt should get involved

And stop the greedy Conf reps who care nothing about tradition. For years it was rumored that SC had a state law Clemson & SC had to play but this was only a rumor as we found out in 2020.
It should be a state law that the schools play every year in ALL common sports and in football it should be required to be played on the last regular season weekend.
We need to prevent the outsiders (Conf reps, University Pres & AD) who make this decisions from taking our rivalry away like they did to:
Texas & Texas A&M Pitt & WV Pitt & Penn St Oklahoma & Nebraska
And soon to be
Oklahoma & Oklahoma St Oregon & Oregon St Washington & Washington St
This is something that most citizens of SC want to see played every year. It is truly the for the benefits and desires of the SC citizens.

I wish we opened every season with UGA and closed it vs the Coots.... We just need the coots to pick up their end of the bargain so the SC state champ is a game that the nation talks about like a Bama/Auburn or OSt/Mich.

I prefer that the game with the coots stays like it i. I have gotten used to that for the past 50 years as a fan.
