One thing I've learned listening to Dabo, he doesn't get enough credit

for knowing X's & O's. Early on he given the moniker by the media and opposing fans that he was just a CEO and cheerleader that hired good coordinators.

More and more the last few years, he's given little insights to his knowledge talking about schemes, etc.

People love to build narratives. It’s easy, convenient, tidy. The ones that have always been applied to Dabo don’t hold up very well.

Was the failed 4th and goal where the ball was shotgunned 3 yards back and 4 players in the backfield good X’s and O’s?

This is funny logic from old head football fans. Yall think a team that spends 98% of their time in the gun should go under center on critical downs. Id agree the play call here was shaky but being in the gun/pistol not a huge deal.

Only if it would have worked. Any play that failed in that situation would have been questioned. We simply didn’t block them well enough.

Exactly … we go under center and fumble or even hand it off and get stopped it would have been bc we run shotgun 99% of the time and running under center caused timing issues or something … bottom line even though the line made huge improvements and looked alot better , I still think we struggled for the most part in short yardage when we needed it.

Orange crush was a shotgun play from the 3.... that turned out pretty good...

And he is worse at the CEO part compared to what he gets credit for.

2 national championships and 8 conference championships make this statement look foolish.

Like saying a CEO that has maintained a fortune 500 company for a decade is bad at his job.

More like a Fortune 100 CEO saw his company slip to Fortune 500

as a result of several underperforming years in a row where forecasts were not met and the stock price fell.

Do you sell stock in a fortune 500 that had a proven track record of success and is a company that has shown signs of hunting for a way to generate more profits? I say no you give that CEO trust that he will figure out what needs to be done to make your money work harder for you.

hit a resistance band, headed back up now. If the floor is top 20 and the ceiling is #1 I'll take that all day.
