minutes ago. Weekly team call, one of the guys is a former CIO at several of my previous companies, global enterprises, very smart guy who I've always held in high regard.
His daughter just got home from a business trip of some sort, and yesterday morning when she looked in her carryon backpack, there was a folded up napkin in the front pocket. She unfolded it and there was some sort of white powder inside the napkin. She was immediately alarmed, and I guess her family (including Dad who I'm on the call with) advised her to call the police.
Police show up and take the napkin and contents, examine the rest of the backpack, etc. Police got back to her this morning and let her know that the powder was POWDERED SUGAR. So he's sharing this story with us about how this is an important reminder to always be vigilant in airports, because you never know what the motives of the people around you are, and what they might slip into your luggage.
Uh, what?
She probably ate a donut and forgot about it, and...ended up calling the police? Why would ANYBODY slip a napkin of fentanyl into a stranger's backpack in an airport? What logic is being applied here? He was so solemn when relaying this very serious story, and I'm still like "what the...how did you make that leap again?"

form a better judgment based on seeing pigs of the former CIO's daughter. How could we possibly know if she was likely to eat a donut and forget about it without seeing a little "evidence".

From 5 bakers dozen shows. I found a whole gram of blow in there and it wasn’t my suitcase from the trip if you get my drift. She lacey must have stupidly left it in there and forgot and then brought it through airport security. I was clean then (and now) so I flushed it.

month or two ago. He used an event from earlier this year as an example. Woman flies into El Paso to see her boyfriend, and gets in an Uber. Being unfamiliar with El Paso and seeing numerous signs on I10 for Juarez, she assumes she's being kidnapped. Shoots Uber driver in the head and kills him.
People are gullible and also have inflated values of self-worth. Ain't no 48 year old getting kidnapped for sex trafficking.

With the rising cost of drugs and razor blades, it's time to start identifying the sketchy places I need to hit up on Halloween so I can stock up on those items for free.
