That's pretty bold my friend. But I'll go with you on this one, hence I was born in 93 and never saw a Danny led team play.

Two very different Coaches, both great. Both belong to us. It doesn't get any better than that.

He was 1st at the Natty game, WON it & at the youngest age yet! Plus, beat Woody Haynes on his 1st game out of the block!
But DaBO is even-steven in some ways & ahead in others!
Both Bammer & then Clemson Boys.

You take the cake on this one just because you were around during Danny's era.

I love me some Danny. He was and is a Great man. I remember the moment I heard he would no longer be coaching. It was like Sept 11 or OJ not guilty, but...
Dabo is a once in a lifetime person. This program is better than the 80's, it's just missing one thing.

That's like asking who do love more, you Momma or your Grandmother! You can't have one without the other! You take them both and Thank God for them

It's not even close -- Dabo is by far the better recruiter for both players and as important --coaches. He's also a great motivator and game manager -- and really has the kids interests at heart -- again -- not close -- go Dabo

Different eras, different games...

The game was different back then. The bigtime air attack passing game was just emerging, and the nature of offenses was different 30 years ago. Also, the culture and players were different. I was in school for Danny's last three years, and I feel good about saying that our talent and coaching were top notch. We were getting blue chip players from all over the southeast. The one area we were behind on wasn't coaching or talent; it was the nature of our offense. If we had had an offense that was capable of putting about 10 more points a game on the board, we could have won 2-3 championships in the late 80's. We had a defense that was second to no one in those days, and I mean NO ONE.
