On the bright side

Dec 1, 2022, 11:38 AM

Starting next year there’s no reason we shouldn’t be in the playoffs every single year with going to 12 teams

I get you on that but that's assuming we have a more competent staff of coordinators.

I think we will see the changes needed, Dabo isn’t going to settle for not making a 12 team playoff. Being top four every year isn’t easy by any standard, but being in the top 12 Dabo will have that as a goal.

Totally agree. We have the pieces on both sides of the ball, we just need coordinators that out these players in positions to excel. Right now we don't have that.

Top 4 should have been a cakewalk with our schedule. Cakewalk!!!!

I agree.
Though, I believe we have to wait until 2024 for the 12 team playoff.

No reason at all Clemson shouldn't be in the mix every single year.

Play well at the end of the year! It won't knock you out necessarily if you have an early loss now.

We still own the talent gap in the ACC. N. Carolina closed it some. FSU and Miami are threats. I would even say GT is a threat; because of the talent around their campus.

For now, no reason we can't be among the top teams in the country.

Yep it’s going to take a TON of pressure off of the coaches and players as well. Definitely will be looking foward to it, and if we win the ACC we will get a first round bye

Yep!

The incentive to win every game "in the conference" is still going to be there for those concerned about that. For that very reason; perhaps a 1st round-bye.

Incentives the champions of leagues and make it vital important; although not a death blow if you don't have it. Assuming your resume is good enough and you pass the "ESPN eye-test"!
