always used "Good Friday" as the target date to let pass before putting tomatoes in the ground!
I don't think many pay that a whole lot of attention today!

great nitrogen for early root growth. Then calcium as the plant gets older. I have four Cherokee purples that I started from my dad's last tomato plant before he passed last July. Now a true heirloom?

Yes, mom would plant her garden on Good Friday... every year! Never before, only weather could push her after, I am 62 now, follow the same strategy lol!
