That is for the folks wondering why Dabo plays so many young guys before the last few minutes of the game.

I've seen how many injuries we've had the last 3 years. I better get 2nd and 3rd string in here to reduce the chance of my starters getting hurt.

I’m just glad we are getting to play them again after a few seasons of dawg fights coming down to the wire.

Agreed. This is what I don't get. The people complaining about the backups getting reps are for the most part the same ones crying about the portal. We have had so much attrition and misses the past couple years we haven't had the luxury of coasting in the final minutes letting backups get reps. These whiners cant see that though, they only see these very young guys not playing like All-Americans and whine incessantly.

Oh, I think most understand that point. Problem is we aren’t accustomed to the backups being this bad.

Maybe we’re seeing the effects of the backups not getting that time the past several years 🤔

Brett I am truly glad that at least you get it. It speaks volumes that it takes a fan of another school to actually understand. That depth that we had in 2016, through 2018? Yeah that was started in 2014. Maybe even earlier.

Its compounded even more now with the attrition from the portal added in. People expect these recruits to come in, get no reps then play like they're 5th year seniors.

Play the back ups every chance you get...just wondering how long it tales to show improvement...that was regression.

Didn’t have any garbage time last year because we all the games were close (or we were getting beat)
So we basically missed 2 years of in game development
Playing catchup.
