I see he has 16 receptions. Is he any threat receiving or just occasional swing pass? And, main thing we need backs, TE, receivers is to open-field block. Get the ball outside for big gash. Go Tigers. I'm starting to get a little excited. Hold me!

Mafah is a back that has the body size to run through people, he just needs to run as hard as he can in as straight a path as he can. If he would run like that, he would be a back like a Todd Gurley IMO!!!

combination. James Davis was nobody's poor relation. He was a super talented running back, who would have had a good pro career had he not been drafted by one of the worst organizations in existence, the Cleveland Browns. James deserves a whole lot of credit for being willing to be on a timeshare with anybody, even a running back as talented as CJ Spiller.

When we run ~100 plays, we have 2 backs that can carry 20 or more each.
We don’t need to beat up the QB on routine plays. Save the QB for big 1st downs or TD’s. Like DW4 or TL.
That is the kind of Offense that controls the game and helps our Defense dominate.

Looking for that this year!

Agree. Neither is lightning. But having 2 thunders is fine.

Neither Shipley nor Mafah have break-away speed so we've seen both get tracked down from behind (unlike Spiller or even Etienne). But that's fine because both are really good and can get those tough yards to keep the chains moving. Derek Henry, Mark Ingram, Christian McCaffrey, et al, were great RBs without break-away speed. I'd take that any day.

4 or 5 tough yards I hope comes easy to them ......... with them carrying it with some authority.


Wouldn't hurt to see Thunder and Thunder with Mafah and Adams giving other teams another type of 1--2 punch.
