Wait we were blowing the doors off SMU and we won with a miracle field goal as time expired? I sure hope we don’t have to see our defense stink it up all year again.

get way back in a hidden pond in a tournament( I think he got disqualified in that one) and said, I would love to get in the boat with him! Today was tough. Caught a 2 pounder at 8 AM and that made me think I was on to something even though I knew the conditions were terrible. It wil take at least 4 days with no rain to get right. Anyway, got out of the kayak and waded, dragging the kayak so I could meticulously hit every little rip and eddy like the one where he was. Fished like that until 11 without another bite. I had gone downstream, which I never do, because if your trolling motor breaks, you are screwed. Well sir,the river was so high and fast, that even with a 55 lb. trolling motor and ME paddling I could not beat the current. So, I had to get out and drag it about a quarter mile back up the river to get to slower water. Then, fished another hour and got one more bite.Packed up, came home, took a shower, layed on the couch, and plugged one of those Clemson podcasts in my ear....AND NEVER HEARD the first word!!!!!

Kayak fishing is hard work!

I moved a couple of months ago and gave mine away. Lived on a small lake/pond, about 300 yards in diameter. Easy fishing, but a couple of hours and I was beat.
My problem is years ago my brother had a nice bass boat, 20 footer, 200 horsepower. When he sold it my dad bought a 16 foot pontoon boat with nothing but deck in front of the console. It was great for bass, bluegill or specks (that's what we call crappie in Florida). I told people, "Once you fish out of a pontoon boat everything else is work." Had a lot of fun and caught a ton of fish over the years fishing in that little 16 footer.

Major League Fishing will be coming to Hartwell next February.

Clemson alum Andy Montgomery and all his buddies will be there. If you know anyone with a VRBO or AirB&B, they will have no problem finding renters for the week they are here. Most of the guys travel in groups of 2 to 4 anglers, plus a couple of video guys for their youtbue channels and rent houses, not hotel rooms.

Andy Montgomery shares rentals with Pro's Edwin Evers and Ott Defoe. Both these guys have been in tournament series for long time. The benefits to rooming together is Pro's are allowed to talk to other Pros fishing the same tournament for tips and tricks both before and during the tournament. But if the Pro goes to the local tackle and talked to someone about the current Tournament waters, they would be DQ'd. It has happened to a few pros this year.
One of the top pros, Jacob Wheeler, rooms with 3 other Pro's, Dustin Connell, Mark Daniels, and Adrian Avena. All these guys get to share ideas and all of them have done well in Major League Fishing for several yrs now. The advantages of rooming together beyond saving money.

I love Ott, Andy and Edward. I got all three of them to sign my Clemson baseball cap early this year when they came to the Harris Chain.
I watch all their YouTube videos. (In fact just watched Ott's video on his first two days on Chickamauga a few minutes before this post.)
All 3 of them are great guys.
I also watch the other 4 you mentioned. Wheeler had a tough tourney on the Potomac, but he is still the best bass angler in the world.
And, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Ott win on the Potomac. He smashed them.

Harris Chain has been a tough place for me to fish. My last tourney there was a B.A.S.S. around 2005, it only took about 12lbs a day to make the cut and I had 21lbs for 2 days. Mark Davis won it or came in 2nd throwing a crankbait in the channel out of Harris Lake, about 30yds from where I fished the first day. He sat same spot for 4days. I should have stayed in same area because that was my best area as well but there were so many spots I caught fish in practice, just takes so long to get from lake to lake.
I watched that tourney in Harris this year and that place fished exactly as I remembered. Lot of guys struggled once again.
