UVa @ Clemson questionable calls

I was at the game Saturday. I still wonder about the facemask penalty that was called against Clemson that received a LOT of booing after the big screen replay. Also, the unnecessary roughness penalty called against Mahfa on the goal line on one of his TDs. I don't think that it was replayed on the big screen at all. I think that the game was televised on ACCN. I watched the ESPN College Wrap-up show and they didn't mention either penalty, nor did they show the meltdown of #10 for UVa. I thought that ACCN would replay the game through the following week, and they did not. Does anyone have any explanation to either of what seemed to be questionable calls?

The facemask call was correct

(Though there was holding and illegal hands to the face by UVA on the same play).

While we were sacking the QB one of our defenders reached in and pulled his helmet off. It was accidental, but the right call. Should've been offsetting though.

Play in question was around 21:30 mark (Right at 22:00 you can see his helmet being pulled off)

They were obviously holding our D lineman on the same play. That is what the fans were booing the lack of that call,

However when Iw as at the game I never swaw thew angle that showed our player ripping off the QB's helmet. It didn't help that the announcement of facemask was while we were showing a replay of our DL being held and having his face mask grabbed.

Yep. I was at the game and that is what I saw too. Haven’t seen a replay yet.

And it was embarrassing to see them show on TV the Clemson fans flipping the middle finger. Everyone calls out other teams fans as being trashy. Guess we have it too.

You are so right. Of course now parents think it's cute to teach their toddler to flip people off. Common curtesy and civility are very uncommon these days.
