than anything Kirby is doing.
His biggest problem is keeping his players out of jail.

If that’s the case, Clemson is doomed because we have no hope of every out spending

competitive ... that won't change for me.
It will suck (like it did back them) but I am no fair weather or bandwagon fan
We have never been competitive in basketball and I still pull for the team.

College football as we knew it is over. But, Clemson has great leadership and I think Dabo and Co will navigate a way to keep us elite.
That obviously hinges on several variables like conference affiliation, guard rails on NIL, status of scholarship athletes being amateurs vs. paid employees, etc....
When it all shakes out I believe we're going to see 64 or so teams knock some of the "Wild West-ness" out of the NIL and reign it in. If not, then we'll see fewer teams able to compete, which will ultimately result in fewer fans, less interest, and less revenue for everyone.
That'll likely require Clemson making lemonade out of lemons, but I'm staying positive.

I can of think it's the opposite. A lot of teams are getting great players from the portal they never would have got before. I mean, Arkansas got a couple of Alabama transfers and a Georgia transfer. They never wood have got them before.
I actually think the portal is the reason Alabama are not as dominate as they use to be, the portal is evening up players.

Our Bagmen never could outspend them before NIL came

along, and we did alright. The facilities "arms race" is what will eventually do us in. Unlike the guvmint, we can't talk ourselves out of a $60 million dollar yearly deficit, which is what we will shortly be looking at vs the SEC and BIG. That is being outgained by the entire cost of Daboworld, every single year. NO school is going to remain competitive long term against that kind of monetary disadvantage.

Sure you can claim they were cheating, but unless you have evidence that they were cheating more than other top programs, that argument is pretty hollow.

Relax, even the programs with the most money will run short. There will eventually be some type of cap on NIL per program. Just like in the NFL, otherwise the richest owners would always win. College football will get its footing. I just hope it's soon.

Kirby is a great recruiter, wins championships, and puts more players in the NFL than any other head coach. It isn't anymore complicated than that.

Winning back to back championships does wonders for recruiting.
We would have never won in 2018 had we not been to back to back National championships and beat the brakes off juggernaught BAMA in 2016.

Kirby doesn't know how to handle top rated QB's.

…for him to finally win the title.
He’s had several top QBs during the time that Stetson Bennett was on campus.
Clemson had a couple of huge recruiting classes following our national titles, and they got us to the Cheezits Bowl.

Grabbing the top QB will probably deal a fatal blow to our chances of landing Mike Matthews (#1WR) . It's unfortunate because he's a game changer.
