weekend while #3 Clemson and others have a long layoff until the tourney starts May 7. You would think everyone would finish at the same time. Does it create an advantage?

IMO for baseball / softball playing is an advantage, certainly for hitting.***

Conference consistently over the last decade or so. Sets up a compelling matchup for the networ.

I think it might be good for the team to get a few days off to rehab some bumps and bruises. Knowler is still nursing an ankle and who knows what might be ailing Viera. There's only been a couple games all season where someone else played catcher; that's gotta take a toll on your body.

Virginia Tech most consistent?? Maybe Florida State which has won 8 ACC championships and Duke 2 in the last 10 years.

What's going to be interesting is because FSU games against GT were cancelled last weekend, FSU will only have to win 1 game against VT to win the conference (regular season). If they lose 2 games the GT series would have been very important. Clemson's softball was predicted to finish 7th at the start of the season. They are now a guaranteed 3rd and possibly 2nd if FSU takes 2 of 3 this weekend against VT. We'll tie for 2nd if VT wins 2 games (Don't know the tie breaker rule).
