My hs junior daughter singing O Holy Night. Grab some coffee and sit and listen. This girl has worked hard. Played violin since she was 5 but it seems voice is her direction now. Took AP music theory as a freshman and got a 5.
She is putting on her own recital January 6th at 2:00 at the chapel at Taylors First Baptist if there are any Greenville area folks that would enjoy it. There will be some familiar tunes and original songs.

moving to Columbia. I lived within a rocks throw of Taylors First
Baptist Church.

This is by far my favorite song for this time of the year, and your daughter knocked it out of the park! I've heard this sung by some of the greatest; Michael Crawford, Celtic Thunder, Celtic Woman, TSO, Josh Groban just to name a few. She belongs in the conversation with all of them, she's very talented.

Do you know the story behind the song? It was written by a non-believing Frenchman in 1847 (the lyrics) and the music was composed by a non-believing Jewish Frenchman. Talk about the Lord working in mysterious ways!!! First sung on Christmas Eve in Roquemore France in 1847.
