Would you accept a plan where Notre Dame made 25percent more than Clemson and FSU but Notre Dame joined the conference and show how Clemson made $10m more than they are now just 25percent less than ND?

I could see that for a limited amount of time in order to get them in and increase our leverage with the tv providers. Certainly the conference is going to increase revenue for us and FSU if we bring in more money for the conference.

Ouch . What I meant was this: would you as Clemson accept less than notre Dame if their inclusion into the acc meant your annual payout grew? You wouldn’t be the top dog ND would be . So Notre Dame makes 75M you make 50M but that’s better than the 35M you make now .

That's my gut too. Screw those guys.
But IF we really don't have a way out of the GOR and we really are going to stay in the ACC, the presidents would have to be more calculating. Notre Dame is clearly the crown jewel of all of this stuff and immediately stabilizes the conference. A conference with ND, Clemson, FSU and Miami in it is stable. And not only does adding Notre Dame make a huge difference to the ACC, but it precludes Notre Dame from helping the Big Ten and the SEC (not that I could ever see THAT happening).
I don't WANT it, but if it stabilized the conference (again, assuming we couldn't leave) and bridged the gap with other conferences, it would have to be considered.
Or not. Screw those guys.

Swarley, you speak to the reality. As of now, it looks like there is no way out of the GOR and there is no obvious landing spot. Plus with ND and the west coast teams, the TV contract may be improved. There would have to be a way to let them keep the NBC money for awhile. Bottom line, the ACC needs ND the way things have gone crazy.
