11.5 is a lot points

Maybe I'm struggling to take off the orange and purple glasses but that seems like a whole lot to me. 6 or 7 seems more reasonable to me

It's the orange colored glasses. Their defense is ranked third in the nation. They're passing defense is ranked first in the nation.

Totally fair. Probably is the bias speaking. Just looking at their schedule though it seems like maybe those numbers are less impressive than we might think. Not any super impressive offenses on that schedule. Georgia is the only FPI top 10 offense and they lost twice to them.

As long as we don’t have a lead before halftime I think we have a solid shot of winning.

Playing Clemson who is 0-2 vs the SEC this season getting into the playoffs by a winning FG. And their defense will be the best we have played all season.
Clemson will be given zero chance in this game, but I would rather be there than anywhere else. I personally think Texas was the best matchup we could have gotten. Not a heavy run game & a QB who still panics when pressured. They have dudes at WR though, but if Ewers can’t get the ball to them, it doesn’t matter. They had a significantly less challenging SEC schedule than people are willing to admit. Vandy, UF, and Ark kept it close.

Fair. If we don’t adapt at halftime maybe it gets out of hand

That’s the concern. Clemson does not adjust at halftime. Seems like they take a bathroom break and a nap.

Some places it opened at 10.5, its usually the open that you look at. 7 points favored plus its a home game so an extra 3, which kind of gets you in to that range. Its hard to evaluate since this is first "playoff" game where their truly is a home team. Usually the spreads tighten up,

IDK…….I think it’s mostly representative of how much Texans gamble…..which is a lot. They beat TAMU by 10, Vandy by 3. Their results don’t look scary to me.

If played on a Neutral field line might be closer to a touchdown but anyway they have to start somewhere and will adjust accordingly
