Home team favored, but without star QB. Very hostile environment.
Pull your starter, backup QB effective.
Have home team on ropes. #### game away.

What huge mistakes did they make?
I mean, don't get me wrong, nothing but the final score matterrs, but it's a world of difference between screwing up chance after chance, and not getting those chances. Arguably they had 1 chance they screwed up, and that was at the very end.
I'd argue we were the ones throwing ints and near ints all day. We were the ones not taking care of multiple goal-to-go scenarios from the 1.
They had the muffed punt, but other than that what else?

The fumble by Bonnafon which was absurd. That was your second TD.

That was a CB stripping a QB. No way you say that's some sort of gift.

And I'm not by any means arguing they were lucky it was close. That defense is dang solid. A lot more solid than most folks here are giving them credit for.
I'm just saying they didn't throw away multiple scoring opportunities. They made very solid 4th down decisions (as opposed to us and that stupid from-our-own-40-with-a-TD-lead decision). They played well in almost all facets of the game but couldn't get their O going against our D. And nor could we for much of the game.

The 10+ penalties, the fumbled punt, the fumble at the 2 yardline, the 7 dropped interceptions, not having a play ready on 3rd down and spiking the ball.

I agree about the last drive.

That was handled poorly.
THe fumble at the 2 was a result of a Tiger making a play.
My point wasn't that they were lucky it was close. Just that they didn't gift us the game anymore than we gifted them the chance to win the game. Both teams' offenses had serious issues with the other teams' Defense.
