Not surprised to see UGa on top. Strip clubs, replacing totaled vehicles, and lawsuit settlements costs a lot.

This is the $ spent scouring the map and (somewhat metaphorically) surveying potentials, procuring, and finally the auditions. Stands to reason with the state of SC's typically p!ss poor bluechip production, we would incur greater travel expenses than most of our other top 10 recruiting foes. Shocking how much the other sports siphon from the revenue trough that "if they were counted as expenditures Georgia would be in the red". Very likely the much worse across the board for all schools as few generate revenue at that level. Thank God for TitleIV and the irrationality that brought it into being. Total disregard of logic, a massive chaotic and nonsensical experiment, waste of money, and a contributor to the gender fluidity mental illness epidemic. The short sighted understanding of the word 'equality' led to a generally accepted belief that 'equality' is absolute in it's inability to carry negative connotation–

Right. Reading the article it appears these numbers have nothing to do with NIL payments. These are numbers from school budgets and the schools aren’t allowed to pay NIL money directly so they would not be included in budget numbers.
It does continue to amaze me how many people here think Clemson is poor when it comes to NIL opportunities for players. Who was the first football player you saw in a nationally televised advertisement? For me it was DJU in the Fansville commercial. But we can’t compete with other schools???

Clemson is poor vs UGA, Ohio St and a few others who are able to spend what has been reported at $10M to $15M per year on just football.

Or just can’t get a date?
Look at all the great PR women’s sports is bringing to Clemson right now thanks to a nonsensical experiment.

A lot of folks dont seem to understand that NIL is not the school budget.

While it is obviously gray as all get out and I’m sure the right hand knows what the left hand is doing, NIL is not school funds. It is by donors etc with ties I’m sure but it would not be part of school expenditures. Now making the players employees as Dartmouth has done and others have discussed, that changes the landscape even more. Carson Beck got a Lamborghini this week. The money that went to him to get that would not even be accounted for in those figures above.

One more time, NIL has nothing do with our athletic department spending.

Speak louder. People can’t seem to hear you. People still think we can compete in NIL with Ga, OSU, Texas, etc. We have a SMALL fraction of alumni base compared to those. You are delusional if even think we can compare in this space.
